Tim O’Neill, is an author, speaker, and currently a natural gas trader at Sequent Energy in Houston, TX. Widely recognized for his book, “Every Play Every Day: My Life as a Notre Dame Walk-On,” Tim made history as a true sophomore as the shortest player to carry the ball in a game for the University of Notre Dame. His journey from walk-on to receiving a full scholarship is a testament to his resilience and determination. Notably, he was voted by his teammates onto the Notre Dame Football Leadership Council, as a junior at Notre Dame, a rare honor for a walk-on. He played in the Japan Bowl, a game composed of former Notre Dame football players and coached by legendary coach Lou Holtz, in Tokyo Japan.

Timmy O’Neill’s story is an inspiring blend of tenacity, athletic achievement, and professional success. Tim O’Neill speaks passionately about his story and the lessons learned at Notre Dame about perseverance and discipline. After speaking to children between kindergarten and fifth grade, he saw the need for a children’s version of his story, inspiring him to write, “Tiny Tim’s Notre Dame Football Dream.”

He graduated from Notre Dame with a major in finance and a minor in Theology and received his Masters of Business Administration from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (M.I.T.). He lives with his wife Lynsey and five children, in Katy, Texas.
